Welcome to the 2020 Festival Season!
We are excited to kick off our 8th annual Ocktober Film Festival with more films, programs and networking events for our independent film community.
Why Submit?
Ocktober Film Festival is a teaching festival!
Every year, we offer a variety of workshops, panels and networking events to meet prospective mentors, partners, and clients. We also invite industry experts like Dame Dash, Hill Harper, Leon, and Ron Simon to share their experiences in the industry. Participants leave our festival with a wealth of resources, including contact lists to key industry players.
Ocktober Film Festival has a diverse audience!
Film festival tickets are free, which draws in a dynamic group of audiences from the New York City area. A big highlight is our children's program featuring animated features or shorts from prospective candidates.
Ocktober Film Festival is self contained!
Since 2016, Ocktober Film Festival has been hosted at Stuart Cinema and Cafe under the ownership of our festival directory, Emelyn Stuart. The theater was specifically designed to offer state-of-the-art facilities for filmmakers on a budget. Participants will feature their film with 4k projection and surround sound so that audiences gets the ultimate movie theater experience.
